WALK FROM SPILSBY

Sunday 13th September 2009

Approaching East Keal church.Our group on wasteland east of Toynton All Saints church.Seven members set off at 10 am from Spilsby Post Office Lane car park on a 8½ mile circular walk to visit 6 churches and the Keal Carr nature reserve.

Descending the stepped footpath through the Keal Carr nature reserve.The group ascend Wood Hill.Our route took us to Halton Holegate church and then on to Toynton St Peter and Toynton All Saints churches. From here we went on to East Keal church where we stopped for lunch.

Hundleby church.Approaching the B1195 on Bridleway 133.Heading north, we ventured through the Keal Carr nature reserve and then proceeded up the steep Wood Hill which gave us great views to the south and east. Upon reaching the B1195 road, we headed east down Raithby Hill and visited Hundleby church before continuing back along the road to pass Spilsby church and return to our starting point.
