WELCOME

Members of Skegness Group on a walk to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve on 15 December 2005.Welcome to the Skegness Ramblers Web Site, dedicated to the promotion of walking in the east of Lincolnshire. 2014 promises to be a great year with our walks programme of 44 walks. The Skegness Ramblers are one of more than 400 local groups of the Ramblers' Association spread across the country.

For the purposes of this site, the East Lincolnshire area is defined by three boundaries. In the north, a line from Grimsby to just west of Caistor. In the west, a north-south line from just west of Caistor, passing just west of Market Rasen until reaching the river Witham. The south-west boundary is defined by the course of the River Witham.

THE RAMBLERS ASSOCIATION

The Ramblers' Association is a democratic, voluntary organisation. It exists to facilitate, for the benefit of everyone, the enjoyment and discovery that walking outdoors can bring; and to promote respect for the life of the countryside. The association encourages walking; protects rights of way and defends the beauty of the countryside. The association is a registered charity (No. 1093577) and a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (No. 4458492).

WALKING WITH THE RAMBLERS

The guided walks in this section of the Website are intended for subscription paying members of the Ramblers' Association, however, we invite anyone, whether experienced walkers or not to try 2 or 3 walks with us before making a decision on membership.Image supplied by 'Animation Explosion'
